Burberry's Christopher Bailey to receive honorary doctorate

Yorkshire-born Bailey graduated from the prestigious London college with a Masters degree in womenswear in 1994. He joined British heritage brand Burberry in May 2001 as creative director, before becoming chief creative officer in November 2009 and has been credited with turning the label into a hugely-popular global brand.


He will be presented with the award at alongside 500 graduating postgraduate students at the Royal Albert Hall. Artists Cindy Sherman and Faith Ringgold, and architect Eva Jiřičná will also receive honorary doctorate, reports artlyst.com.
