January Newsletter:  Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day & Profile of Our Honorary Doctor of the Month!

Today we observe the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, honoring the man who steered a civil-rights movement that pushed America toward a more just and equal society.  King and his followers were opposed to racial discrimination and fought courageously to promote tolerance.  His birthday has become day of service across the country, to recognize the many ways that he gave back to his community throughout his life. Celebrate his memory by attending one of the many events all around the country.  Click here to find out more.

"Thank you for your incredible service.  I never had a chance to study for an academic degree when I was younger, and I always felt that this held me back in life.  This has finally leveled the playing field for me, and now I can hold my head up a little higher as I introduce myself as an honorary doctor.  Thanks again."
